Getting To Summerside

AIR TRAVEL: The nearest airport is Charlottetown International Airport. Charlottetown International Airport has daily flight service with Air Canada, West Jet, and Delta. Conference organizers encourage conference delegates to book air travel as soon as possible. Conference organizers will provide a shuttle from Charlottetown International Airport and Summerside on September 16 (below). The conference will conclude in Charlottetown on September 19. There is no need for delegates to rent a car to participate in the conference. 

Additional air service is available from Moncton International Airport (164 kilometres to Summerside) and Halifax International Airport (325 kilometres to Summerside). Both airports have car rental options and bus service to Summerside via Maritime Bus

SHUTTLE: Conference organizers are providing two shuttles from the Charlottetown International Airport to Summerside on September 16. The first shuttle will pick up conference delegates at 3:00 pm, the second shuttle will pick up conference delegates at 6:20 pm. The shuttle is free of charge. If you would like to join one of the shuttles you must register in advance.The shuttle service will also return conference delegates to the airport on September 19 (Saturday). 

CAR: Summerside is located 61 kilometres west of Charlottetown, 164 kilometres from Moncton (New Brunswick), and 325 kilometres from Halifax (Nova Scotia). Vehicle rental is available at the Charlottetown airport through Avis, Budget, National, Enterprise, and Hertz. Please visit Charlottetown International Airport webpage for more details. 

Leaving PEI by Car on September 20

The Terry Fox Run will be held in Prince Edward Island on September 20, 2015. Conference organizers just received notification the Confederation Bridge will be to all vehicular traffic from 6:00 am – 1:00 pm on September 20. 

 

Accommodations

All conference participants are responsible for booking their own accommodations in Summerside.

The conference will take place at the Loyalist Lakeview Resort (https://www.lakeviewhotels.com/hotels/summerside/) in Summerside. Most conference activities will take place at the Loyalist Lakeview Resort or will depart from the Resort. A special rate has been organized with the Loyalist Lakeview Resort for the conference: $149 per night (single or double occupancy) if booked before June 30, 2015 and $169 per night (single or double occupancy) if booked after July 1, 2015. When making your reservation please indicate you are with the North Atlantic Forum to receive the discounted rate. All conference delegates are responsible for booking their own accommodations.
